Closed Beta Update 6 Notes (Deploying Oct 12th)

NEW TIMER TRIALS:

  • Damage Taken: - 1 second for every 50 hp damage taken
  • Double Kill: - 15s for scoring a Double Kill

TIMER TRIAL CHANGES:

  • Kill: - 5 seconds for scoring a killing blow
  • Device Place renamed to Walls Placed (will be Bristle exclusive): - 4 seconds for every wall placed
  • Damage Dealt: - 1 second for every 50 hp damage dealt to enemies
  • Healing: - 1 second for every 50 hp healed
  • Assist: - 3 seconds for each scored assist
  • Headshot: -2 seconds for each scored headshot
  • Support Assist: - 4 seconds for each support assist
  • Melee Kill: -  6 seconds for a melee kill
  • Tank Focus cards now all use Damage Taken Trial 
  • Assault Focus cards now use Kill Timer Trial
  • Control Focus cards now use Damage Dealt Timer Trial


NAUTICA CHANGES:

  • Increased Manifest Fury Card Timer to 50 seconds
  • Reduced Manifest Fury damage bonus to +5

  • Renamed Devices Placed to Walls Placed
  • Kill Timer Trial added to Siege Seed
  • Kill Timer Trial added to Log Club

  • Space Advance daily maximum increased to 40 
  • Updated store bundles
  • Tweaked Mortar audio
  • Tweaked some card art
  • Replaced empty Game Board spaces with themed rewards  NOT ADDED YET! Coming soon. 
  • Added medal for winning in OT

FIXES:

  • Fixed several store bundle issues & typos 
  • Fixed Fragment Vulnerable phrases not always playing
  • Fixed a hitch when selecting the store from the main menu
  • Fixed Pulse Turret exploding twice
  • Fixed Overtime text being cut off in the HUD
  • Fixed cards showing hover state while sorting in the deck manager
  • Fixed deck builder breaking when selecting other languages from the launcher
  • Fixed spines of the deep animation 
  • Fixed placeables not being removable 
  • Fixed lobby getting stuck while waiting for a match to end
  • Fixed being able to join a match without a complete deck
  • Fixed hung lobby caused by a player leaving
  • Fixed being sent back to the main menu instead of the next match due to laggy connection
  • Fixed Grounding Totem negating Wind Spirit Trap effect 
  • Fixed placeables bypassing Phase Walk cooldown
  • Fixed script error caused by deck builder immediately after unlocking
  • Fixed icons not displaying in profile
  • Fixed Fantastic Super Hero singles drawing from the wrong card pool
  • Fixed deck builder saving changes no matter what button you press
  • Fixed Manifest Gift not being affected by Oceans Boon
  • Fixed Fragment Fight objective marker not centering on active objective
  • Fixed Dread Game Piece not awarding proper Keystone Cards
  • Fixed decks resetting after first death
  • Fixed Niia trap animation issue
  • Fixed Defiler consuming an additional round when reloaded
  • Fixed Blowtorch persisting after death and potentially damaging enemies

Nice to see my idea for Bristle to get a Damage Taken Trial both made sense and made it in. :D Interesting to see it on Ray's Recall as well.

Seem like Timer Trials are now pretty much game-wide, this could be very good.

For the timer trial changes, here's the comparison between what we had and what we have now.

Support assist : 2->4
Kill : 2->4
Damage/Healing : 0.5->1
Assist : 1->3
Melee Kill : 3->6
Device Placed Wall placed : 2->4
 

The other trials were added.

So we got higher cd decrease, that will hopefully counterbalance the timer increases of last patches !

Tbh, these changes should have been introduced at the same time as the previous timer changes. Separating these patches was not logical, and the trial updates should have been deployed last week or the timer changes should have been pushed to this week when the trials were ready. Staggering them was silly.

But I'm glad to see the changes and will be happy to give them a chance.

 Mostly with big paches that have a good relation with eachother. Stuff like this is important, Throwing out half an update is kinda crappy when in order to balance out your players need to wait for the other half to come out to make the game fun again

I want to see your testing timeline someday. I do tech implementations and I can not imagine a world where I could overhaul and test entire systems in a 2 months. Granted I don't know how complex your stuff is.
